Wooden beads prayer
There has always been time for prayer in the history of relations between man and Creator - the time for communion with God. And the term "religion" itself is derived from the Latin word re-ligare (to connect).
For this reason, perhaps, the main core of any religious culture (and Christianity is not an exception here) is the prayer connecting us with our Heavenly Father. And it is not in vain, as the sooner a person turns to his Creator, the more he understands His will and his/her personal destiny.
However, in our time, when temptations and daily worries are high, it is very difficult to find time for personal prayer. In contrast to old times, when life was slow and the day was clearly planned - morning prayer, work in the field, evening prayer and rest; nowadays, nobody can afford a fixed, non-changeable schedule.
However, even in those times of relative tranquillity, individuals who were spiritually rich were aware of the need to arrange their prayers so that they might be consistent and clear.
Because if you don't determine the time and amount of prayer for yourself, the mind of the praying person will be constantly worried about annoying questions - isn't it time to finish the prayer? Have I said everything? Is it enough? ...
To ensure the prayer of the believer proceeded in relative calmness, various religious currents invented such an accessory as beads.
