Propolis
Propolis is a product of beekeeping, which is known for its unique healing properties and has a bitter taste, dark brown (sometimes yellow) color and a pleasant aroma. This substance produces bees from the secretion of the gland of the upper jaw and pollen.
Propolis contains a large number of useful substances and has antibacterial properties. The main function of propolis in the hive is the destruction of bacteria. It is proved that propolis in relation to the human body is characterized by antibiotic, antitoxic, anti-cancer and antibacterial activity.
Propolis contains flavone (propolis), vitamins, amino acids and other microelements. In propolis, only about 16 classes of various organic substances have been found. Currently, more than 200 biologically active components have been identified. An important role belongs to cyclic low-molecular substances: alcohols, aldehydes, polyphenols. The protective function of a product such as propolis is provided by the multiplicity of these components, which has an effective cumulative effect.
