Pernach

One of the oldest types of cold steel arms.

The main symbols of power of the Zaporozhye Cossacks were considered as mace and Pernach. In the 13-17 centuries they been used as combat weapon, but later they came to symbolize power and wealth. Now Mace is one of the official symbols of the President of Ukraine.
