Ceramic figurines of frogs are an original gift and a symbol of wealth in many cultures! In Slavic mythology, the frog is associated primarily with fertility, moisture, rain. She is the keeper of rivers, lakes, wells, the mistress of water. The idea of fertility, life-giving moisture is also explained by its relationship with childbearing. It was believed that frogs draw newborns out of the water and bring them into the house. Like snakes, in some regions the frog is credited with the role of home patron, it was often used in folk medicine, sorcery and witchcraft.
